How high would you travel to take the most amazing wedding photographs throughout the entire history of weddings? All things considered, this couple has without a doubt taken the bar up a couple of steps after going to extraordinary lengths to go beyond the ordinary weddings. The place which they chose to have their wedding was Mount Everest.
Thirty-two-year-old Ashley Schmeider and 35-year-old James Sisson spent an entire year arranging and preparing for their wedding function. You might feel a bit unusual without some clear explanation to this story describing why they needed to get ready for their wedding that far ahead of time.
The beautiful Californian couple had chosen that a usual wedding service wasn’t the thing for them. They concurred that if they ever decided to marry, they would have it on Mount Everest.
Thus, when they at last chose to settle down, they adhered to their agreement and arranged for the long vertical move up the mountainside, joined by their photographer, Charleton Churchill. Furthermore, as you can imagine, their wedding photographs are stupendously epic.
Scaling unfavorable chances
It took the bride, and husband to be, their picture taker, and their exceptionally committed wedding ”guests” around three weeks to arrive at the base camp on Everest, which is located 17,000 feet above sea level. On the way up there, they needed to overcome the unusual climate, frosty temperatures, heavy snow, and altitude infection together — talk about a holding experience to recall.
After this strong attempt, it is just right that the couple breaks a couple of records to turn into the primary couple to ever triumphantly hold a wedding function on Mount Everest in traditional wedding clothes.
“I had attempted base camp with another [couple] in 2015,” states the wedding couple’s photographer, Charleton Churchill, “but the devastating earthquake of Nepal, including the massive avalanche that swept EBC [Everest Base Camp], turned everyone around off the mountain. I wasn’t sure if I would find another couple to get married on Everest anytime soon.”
Somehow, the photographer who was going in search of adventures, was reached a year ago by Ashley via of his Instagram account. The bride stated that she needed her wedding to be a brave one and requested to name some suggestions on a destination. Churchill recommended that they get married on Everest, and the couple concurred.
“Both James and Ashley made for great trail partners,” Churchill states on his website. “We were like a family. Ashley is a tough girl who crushed it on the mountain trail and maintained a great pace. James is a great man who took care of Ashley, always looking after her needs. Plus, he’s a comedian who made us laugh often. It can be difficult after a few days on a long mountain trek with all the pressure and lack of resources to maintain a smile, but we did well.”
And they did great. On the 16th of March 2017, “James and Ashley exchanged vows at Mount Everest Base Camp right in front of the famous Khumbu ice-fall where people use ladders to maneuver over crevasses, and with the beautifully carved Nuptse Face in the backdrop,” Churchill reports. “Their epic wedding was surrounded by all these famous mountains. It was beautiful, short, and we captured a few photos before packing and getting ready to leave.”
As an extra gift, their little adventure was able to produce the most amazing wedding photos ever with a bunch of memories which they can hold on to a lifetime.
